Upwards and Outwards Development.
Updated: Feb 9
Since my last weekend seminar, I have been thinking a lot about how to make my events even better, whether it be a Dumbbell 101 Class in Copenhagen or a Weightlifting 101 Weekend Seminar or Training Camp abroad. I think that this weekend was a step in the right direction and I am very happy with how things went.
It is my conviction that the trajectory of a coach should be one of continuous upwards and outwards development. By “upwards” is meant a deepening understanding of the subject matter and by “outwards” is meant an expansion of one's knowledge into new areas of relevance and importance, a broadening of the horizon, so to speak. Still, it’s not easy to fit it all together, but therein lies the great challenge.
In this particular seminar, I incorporated "barbell massage" (as can been seen in the picture), which is a highly effective, albeit painful, way of doing self-maintenance - very much needed to kick off Day 2!
Last, but certainly not least, thank you to all the participants for your hard work and patience - and to CrossFit Lausanne for hosting.
